ABOUT WILLEM VOS.
I am a painter based in Dwingeloo, the Netherlands. Faces, birds and figures recur in my work, surrounded by layers that move between abstraction and recognition.
I work physically and largely by instinct. The paintings explore freedom, vulnerability and change, without prescribing what the viewer should feel. I want the work to hit first and reveal itself slowly.
